Supporting healthy social interactions and a diversity of health choices
There are only two topics in today’s newsletter: a brief introduction to the pilgrimage site in Portugal known as Fatima, and a reminder about the conference on Near Death Experiences taking place at the end of August in Arlington Virginia.

Fatima was a tiny village in Portugal in 1917 when three children had spiritual experiences similar to the ones I have shared in multiple newsletters over the past nine months.
Today it is a pilgrimage site for millions of people, and also a peaceful and quiet place to rest for weary travelers such as myself and the three young adults who joined me: my 20 year old daughter, her 20 year old friend, and my 23 year old son .
Although the most famous spiritual experiences were the ones that happened in May 1917 , there have been many similar events reported in that area for hundreds of years.
One of the three children who had the shared spiritual experience survived well into adulthood, and became known as “sister Lúcia”. She wrote a book to try to answer the thousands of letters she received over the years, with the blessing of her catholic community. In the coming months I plan to share some sections of her book. Here is the first sentence of her introduction, translated from the original Portuguese:
“I address this to all those who have faith, and also to all who do not have the happiness of possessing this gift of God, because we are all pilgrims on our way to eternity, whether we know it or not.“
Conference on Near Death Experiences in Arlington Virginia
August 30th to September 3rd, 2023
You might enjoy a living account of similar experiences. If so, the conference below has a discounted rate until July 10. If any of you do end up going, please let me know and perhaps we can have a “health freedom lunch“.
